I have used goal setting worksheets for a number of years to accomplish goals. Today I want to review with you how I have used goal setting worksheets successfully in my life.
Teaching needs to be more than passing out worksheets. Whether you are the classroom teacher, instructional specialist, or parent, the methods you use greatly impact the level of understanding achieved by your students.
Distinguishing Story Structure: Story structure can be defined by the way in which the text is arranged or organized into a plot. For example, by understanding characters, setting, problem/conflict, climax, and validation, students increase comprehension. By understanding headings, subheadings, picture graphs and bold words, students also increase comprehension.
Back in the old days, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills were practiced by writing the facts out by hand–maybe 10-20 times each–the entire fact. You are wondering why this was better than writing answers on a worksheet, aren’t you? You will experience the difference yourself if you do this little experiment. Get out a piece of paper and write the entire fact 6 x 8 = 48 and at the same time, say the entire fact out loud as you write it. Say ”six times eight is forty-eight.” as you write 6 x 8 = 48. Now do this ten times. Go ahead, I’ll wait…
After you have track your spending for a month, you now have the information you need to create a monthly budget. Now you know exactly how and what you spend your money on. If you did not have a surplus of money at the end of the month, you can now see area where you can trim your spending in order to operate you budget with a surplus next month.
The worksheet should contain different stories, poems, articles and essays. The complexity of the stories should depend on the grade of the students. The pupils from grade 1 to 5 should be given folklores which depict some history of America as well as some religious myths coined into interesting stories. Such worksheets should test simple understanding of tense and words meaning from context. Story structure questionnaire should also be included in story comprehensions.
