With a quick search of the Internet, you can find dozens of free budgeting worksheets to download. There are PDFs and Excel worksheets galore. Some are easier to navigate than others… some look better. So, with all the options out there, which free form should you choose?
When you start looking for printable worksheets on the internet, look for the following: age-specific worksheets that are designed to suit your child’s stage of development, rather than providing ’one-size-fits-all’ exercises; variety in the method of teaching used in each worksheet, so your child learns to understand the concepts and doesn’t get bored; worksheets that have been developed by a preschool teacher who knows what the school requirements are and what your child needs to learn; a set of worksheets that cover all learning areas is easier for you to work with, and will take up less of your time than searching for individual worksheets; and worksheets that progress from easy to more challenging to stimulate your child and prepare them for the next stage in their preschool education.
In order to track you spending you will need the following two budget worksheets: On this worksheet you will record all the spending for a given week. You will want to have four copies of this worksheet for a given month. Carry it with you to record expenses or make a habit of recording expenses at the end of the day with your daily receipts. Make sure to include a description of the item, the date purchased, the amount and the expense category. You will also want to write down how you paid for the item whether by cash, check, or credit card. This will give you a very detailed report of your weekly spending.
When Should You Use Addition Worksheets? Worksheets should be used to help your child remember math facts. Children need to know their basic facts without thinking. By knowing their facts automatically, they become faster at their math while making fewer mistakes. This helps them score better on standardized tests and helps you on a day-to-day basis. How?
The primary problem with most math worksheets is that the problems are already written out and the child need only write the answers. For learning and practicing the basic skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, it is much more beneficial for the child to write out the entire fact and say the entire fact out loud. A child will learn a multiplication fact much faster if they are writing out 6 x 8 = 48 at the same time they are saying ”six times eight is forty-eight” than if they just see 6 x 8 = ___ and only have to supply the 48.
